Nearly a million Jewish people were expelled from Islamic countries in the 20th Century. They were forced to flee their homes, and the lands where their families had lived for millennia.

Join us for the annual commemoration event – hosted by the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and other communal organisations – in recognition of their plight.

This story is an important part of modern Jewish history, the entire Jewish diaspora and the demographic composition of the Middle East and North Africa. It’s a story that must be told.

This year’s commemoration will focus on the stories, experiences and departure of 260,000 Jews from Morocco.
