Respect, Understanding, Acceptance (RUA)

Our flagship schools harmony program – Respect, Understanding, Acceptance (RUA) – has brought together thousands of high school students from diverse backgrounds since 2006. An example of social harmony in action, the program breaks down barriers between students from different religious and ethnic backgrounds by having them share stories about their culture, demonstrate rituals and discuss multiculturalism and racism. About 35 schools are currently involved in the program, including Jewish, Catholic, Islamic, government, Greek and Armenian schools, with Indigenous representation from schools in metropolitan Sydney.

If you are a teacher and would like your school to be involved, please contact our Education Manager, [email protected].
