‘Public threats against some of us, a problem for all of us’.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic is fuelling racist attacks and citizens of NSW need to know their rights. The NSW government has launched a public awareness campaign about the anti-incitement law – Section 93Z of the NSW Criminal Code – that theĀ Keep NSW Safe coalition successfully campaigned for, led by spokesperson Board of Deputies CEO Vic Alhadeff. The aim of the campaign is to stop public threats of violence. S93Z forms the basis upon which victims can get help from the police.
Board of Deputies CEO Vic Alhadeff is interviewed about the campaign and you can read his comments on Yahoo!7 and on the Liberal Party of NSW website.
