At this time when global fear regarding the Coronavirus has provoked racist kneejerk reactions, the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies stands in solidarity with our Chinese friends and colleagues.
We acknowledge that it is Chinese people who are most at risk of this deadly virus and we express our sympathy with those already afflicted and those living in fear of affliction.
Health is a global issue of concern to us all and we reaffirm our commitment to building a stronger shared society locally, together with our fellow Australians of all backgrounds, and to do what we can to counter this and all other threats to our common safety.
